GM Holden announced that a fleet of Malibu testing vehicles has arrived in Australia for local evaluation testing. This is in preparation for the vehicle’s launch in 2013. Holden badges were also released as the first images of Malibu right-hand drive.
To validate the tuning of vehicle’s driving dynamics according to local tastes and driving styles, a mid-size sedan has been tested. Transmission calibrations are being done for both the global and local markets.
The following months will see testing at Holden’s proving grounds in Lang Lang and on Victorian public roads.
Ian Butler, Holden Director of Integration and Security, said that Malibu’s engineers paid attention to vehicle’s driving dynamics and ride and handling. Malibu will meet the discerning needs drivers in this segment.
“This car is an amazing global vehicle, but we want it to go on sale with lots of Holden input so it can suit Australia’s diverse and unique road conditions.”
