The first Juke-R has been delivered by Nissan, and work on the #002 model is already underway. The Juke NISMO will be available for purchase in the early part of 2013.
Nissan delivered the first Juke-R model to a customer willing to spend at least 500,000 euros. The Juke-R borrows from the GT-R’s drivetrain and suspension, as well as a FIA-spec roll-cage.
It is powered by a V6 3.8-liter engine that produces 545 horsepower (406 kW), making it the fastest crossover in its class. The Juke-R can reach 62 mph (0-100 km/h), in just 8.6 seconds, while the regular Juke can do the same in 8.6 seconds. It tops out at 171 mph (275km/h), and can also hit 124 mph (220 km/h).
The Juke NISMO will be available for purchase by Nissan in the early part of 2013. The 1.6-liter engine is the same as the DIG-T model, but the engine has been modified to produce 215 horsepower (160 kW). The front and rear bumpers have been updated with new side skirts, 18 inch alloys, and a new grille. The vehicle will be available in both two-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive versions.
In related news, both the Juke-R and the Juke NISMO were digitally recreated in order to be the stars of the Gameloft Asphalt 7 Heat mobile racing game. You can see the promo video below.
