The facelifted model is instantly recognisable thanks to its new headlights that feature four-point daytime running lamps. Restyled wheels are featured, as well as modified door handles and an engine cover with vertical louvers. The car also features slightly revised taillights and four-point brake lights.

Porsche did not release interior photos but confirmed that the new Porsche Communication Management System will be included with the model. The model features a seven inch display with multi-touch gesture recognition, Apple CarPlay compatibility, and a “significantly improved” navigation system with real time traffic information. For the first time, the navigation system includes Google Earth and Google Streetview integration.

A new smartphone tray is now integrated into the interior’s center armrest. It also features an integrated charger and “optimized mobile reception”.

The Porsche 911 facelift has many new features, including:

A pre-set speed can be set to apply the brakes.

Optional Adaptive Cruise Control system that includes a coasting function, when equipped with the PDK Transmission

Optional lane change assistant system to warn the driver of vehicles in their blind spots.

A standard post-collision braking system.

The Sport Chrono Package models also get a revised steering wheel that features a mode switch with a rotary dial for selecting between the four driving modes. The PDK transmission models also get a “Sport Response button” which pre-conditions drivetrain for maximum acceleration for 20 second. The button presses the “optimum gear” and the engine management is adjusted for a more spontaneous response.

A new twin-turbo three-liter six-cylinder engine is responsible for the power. The engine produces 370 PS (272kW) as well as 450 Nm (331 Lb-ft.) in the Carrera. In the Carrera S, it produces 420 PS (309kW) in addition to 500 Nm (368 Lb-ft.) This is an increase of 20 PS (14) and 60 Nm (44) over their predecessors.

The 911 Carrera Coupe is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds when equipped with the PDK transmission, and the Sport Chrono Package. 911 Carrera S Coupe is capable of doing the same thing in 3.9 seconds. It can also reach a top speed of 308 km/h (191 MPH).

The models are 12 percent more efficient than the predecessors despite their improved performance. The 911 Carrera S – equipped with the PDK transmission – now consumes 7.7 L/100km, which is an improvement from 1.0 L/100km.

Performance is the 911 Carrera’s main feature. It comes standard with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) and new shock absorbers.

The Porsche 911 facelifted will be available in Germany starting December 12th at 96,605 Euros.
