It is still the most powerful three-row SUV production in the world.
The Durango SRT Hellcat was the first American automaker to release the Durango SRT Hellcat . It was only intended to produce approximately 2,000 units. The limited-run special was not available to all customers so the company decided to make more vehicles for those who were late (but probably not by a dollar).
“As we finalized our production plan for this incredible SUV, we discovered a way to transport some 6.2-liter Hemi HellcatV8 engines from other vehicles to make sure every’sold’ order in our systems will be built,” stated Bob Broderdorf, Director of Dodge Operations North America, to Dodge Garage.
Muscle cars & trucks claims that an additional 1,000 units of the SUV-style rapid vehicle will be manufactured in June 2021, if the rumors hold true. It is one of the most rare vehicles in American automaker’s lineup. The Durango SRT Hellcat has a production run of approximately 3,000 units. With 3,300 units built, the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon hot rod is the only one in the same range.
Performance is not a problem for the Durango uprated. It has a supercharged V8 of 6.2-liters that produces 710 horsepower (529 megawatts). However, the power is transmitted to all four wheels by an eight-speed automatic transmission. The SUV can reach 60 mph (96 km/h) in just 3.5 seconds thanks to all-wheel grip and standard launch control.
Even at its massive curb weight of 5,710 lbs (2,590 kg), the Durango SRT Hellcat can still handle corners thanks to adaptive Bilstein dampers, and grippy Pirelli P Zero tires. Durango SRT Hellcat has a towing weight of 8,700 lbs (3.946 kg).
