Ford Expedition gets stuck in a misjudged U-Turn while off-road

It was easy to rescue Ford from the hands of the recovery crew.

Although off-roading can be fun and rewarding, it can also lead to dangerous terrain and muddy trails that can make it difficult for even the most experienced off-roader. One lifted Ford Expedition tried to turn. The SUV was unable to turn in the opposite direction and got stuck between a rock & a mound of dirt. Matt’s Off-Road Recovery had to rescue it.

The driver claimed that she tried to turn around and go back the same way she came, but it didn’t work out the way she wanted. The Ford ended up stuck sideways in the trail between dirt and rocks, which caught the front bumper. The recovery crew tied a rope to the Expedition’s rear and pulled it sideways. This freed it from its precarious situation with relative ease. The driver wouldn’t have been able retrieve the Ford without assistance.

The driver was assisted by a recovery crew to turn the SUV around. There wasn’t any visible damage to the vehicle in the video. Although there were some questions raised by the video about how the SUV got stuck, the driver was a great sport about it all. Everybody needs help from time to time, so it’s not worth blaming for a spilled glass of milk. A stuck SUV.

This recovery was different than others, as the vehicle often struggles to traction after it has buried its wheels with soft sand and dirt. We’ve seen it happen many times. Although off-road vehicles can tackle difficult terrain well, some drivers make mistakes and misjudge their abilities, and get stuck.
