Brabus 900 Rocket edition Unleashed as G-Class-Based Supercar

That’s at least what the tuning company claims.

The Rocket series of projects from Brabus is named for a reason. is the Mercedes-AMG GT63 S-based vehicle. This is the latest Rocket member from Bottrop. It’s based on what we consider to be the most unlikely vehicle from Stuttgart.

The gallery below may be the most extreme G63 that we have ever seen. Brabus calls it a limited-edition supercar, but it is not related to the definition of supercar. The tuning company plans to make 25 vehicles of the series. Each vehicle will cost EUR571,270, with German VAT, or $681,600 at current exchange rates. Yikes!

This supercar will feature a V8 engine that has been heavily modified to increase its displacement to 4.5 Liters. To protect the drivetrain, the maximum output of the twin-turbo engine is now 900 HP (662 kilowatts).

Brabus claims that the G63’s massive power boost makes it “a thoroughbred sportscar” and the numbers support this claim. The 900 Rocket Edition takes just 3.7 seconds to sprint from a stop to 62 mph (0-100 km/h) before reaching an electronically controlled top speed of 174 mph (298 kph). Brabus states that the tires cannot go faster than the powertrain, even though it has the potential to go faster.

We won’t give too much detail about the visual upgrades as there are many of them. However, you can see them all in our huge, 190-photo gallery. A rear spoiler, new bumpers, an aggressive hood scoop, and massive 24-inch wheels are just a few of the exterior enhancements that have been made. It’s evident in the interior, which features a mixture of fine black leather for each seat and carbon fiber decorations for center console and doors.
