2021 VW Arteon Big Sur Concept Looks Mean and Green

The front fascia has been modified and the suspension is lowered.

The 2021 Volkswagen Arteon Big Sur Concept looks like the ideal sedan for the Incredible Hulk. VW claims that the styling is inspired by the California coast. However, we can only imagine the Avenger driving the sedan.

The 2021 Arteon SEL Premium R-Line was used as the basis for the build. The body now has a forest-green vinyl wrap. The front fascia of the Vomeran has been modified to include tweaks to the splitters, and additional pieces. The body is lowered by 1.5 inches (3.81 cm) with coilover suspension. The sedan is equipped with 20-inch Rotiform TRUF-R monoblock wheels in gloss-black.
Gil Plasencia, FMS Automotive, said that the car was meant to stop people from moving and proclaim, “I’m here!”

The wrap was installed in between 50 and 60 hours. It involved removing the trunk lid, hood, doors and hood. The vinyl covering also covers the interior door jambs as well as the side body pieces for a uniform look.

The 2021 Volkswagen Enthusiast Fleet will include the green Arteon. It will be featured at automotive-focused events throughout the country.

VW introduced the 2021 Arteon to the US in late 2020. The new model features a sleeker exterior and a updated interior with digital controls for HVAC system.

The engine is a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 268 horsepower (200 Kilowatts) as well as 258 pound-feet (355 Newton-meters). The engine runs through an 8-speed automatic transmission that can be used with front- or all-wheel drive.

Early indications suggest that buyers like the updated Arteon. VW sold 1,099 units in the first quarter 2021, as opposed to 788 in 2020. This is a 39 percent increase.
