Extreme Dallara Stradale EXP Pulls 2.7G, Spied Testing Hard At Monza

This supercar version is not road legal.

400 horsepower in a performance vehicle doesn’t seem like an unreasonable amount. The performance car weighs in at 1,900 pounds. However, that’s enough to allow for serious acceleration. This is the Dallara Stradale’s weight. It can accelerate to 60 mph in just 3.3 seconds thanks to its Ford-sourced EcoBoost engine. You can also get your face ripped off in the corners. However, we believe this particular model is even faster.

Our sources say that this Stradale version is called the Stradale EXP. EXP is an acronym for experimental. This means that the car is still in development. This car is significantly larger than the 2017 version. It also features a much more aggressive rear diffuser, and a center-mount exhaust system that would allow for a license plate. We’d expect to see license plates in places outside of the United States that Stradale is legal. This is notable because the EXP version of Stradale is not road-legal .

Camouflage wrap is covering a lot of the front. This suggests that some aero tricks are taking place, as we can see tiny winglets at the corners just before the front wheels. The larger vents are designed to dissipate heat from brakes that also appear to be more powerful on the test vehicle. Our sources also note that the Dallara Stradale ExP rides on slick racing tires, further verifying that it is a machine designed to race tracks.

It should be amazing on this front. The car is said to have upwards of 2,700 lbs of downforce. However, the additional equipment reduces the vehicle’s weight to just 1,960 lbs. It can pull 2.7g in cornering and we are able to see it whizz through Monza’s twists and turns. Considering Formula One cars can pull 6g, how do you get half the capability in something that you can buy? This is quite impressive.

We don’t know when this version will go on sale, so we are not able to buy it. We don’t know what it will cost, but we know that the standard version sells for nearly $200,000. This is probably a good starting point.
