The US pricing of the Bentley Continental Supersports has been made public. When it arrives in October, the most powerful and environmentally-friendly Bentley road will be priced at US$273,295
The 2010 Bentley Continental Supersports is now available in the US for US$273,295 and includes a US$2,595 delivery charge, US$3,700 federal tax penalty, and US$16,000.50 carbon-ceramic brakes, which are an option on other Continental models. It is more expensive than the $203,600 Continental GT Speed but it is still a very affordable vehicle.
The lightweight Supersports is fitted with a twin turbo W12 engine of 6.0-litre capacity. It produces 621hp (463kW) at 800 Nm. You can choose to run it on regular unleaded petrol, or E85 biofuel. It can reach 60 mph in just 3.7 seconds. The top speed is 329 km/h (204mph), and Bentley states that the car consumes 17.3 mpg UK (16.3 L/100km). The car will be available for purchase in October. Flex-fuel options will only be available in North America during the summer 2010.
Bentley’s Supersports is their first attempt to clean up and still offer the same level of luxury and performance as its customers. The coupe comes with a carbon-fiber fascia, diamond-quilted Alcantara seats and an optional 15 speaker Bentley sound system.
Its new front bumper features larger air intake grilles and dual bonnet vents. 20-inch wheels are wrapped in 275/35 ZR20 Pirelli Ultra High Performance tires. The rear bumper has a retractable spoiler.
