This is the ultimate winter vehicle.
Nissan presented three Winter Warrior concepts, based on the Pathfinder Murano and Rogue, at the Chicago Auto Show 2016. All three of the Winter Warrior concepts featured snow tracks rather than wheels. Nissan will again use the show to showcase a new wintery design that is slightly more gentle than its Winter Warrior concepts: the 2018 Nissan Armada Snow Patrol. This is being presented alongside the much more bizarre 370Zki.
The Nissan Armada Snow Patrol was created using the standard 2018 Armada SUV. It has a 390-hp, 5.8 liter V8 and seven-speed auto transmission. Nissan changed both the wheels as well as tires by adding 20-inch Cognito Series 61 wheels finished in satin black to match the Pro Comp MT2 offroad tires. Nissan raised the suspension by two inches at each end, and one at the back.
The 2018 Armada is a luxurious sedan that drives well, but it also has the same off-road heritage of the Nissan Patrol, which is a global expedition vehicle,” stated Billy Hayes (division vice president, Commercial Vehicles and Trucks Nissan North America). We wanted to remind our Armada enthusiasts and owners, as part of the Chicago Auto Show’s celebration of winter, that the full-size SUV is available to transport you to the mountains or through Chicago streets covered with lake effect snow.
The bumper’s front is now replaced by an off-road-ready piece, which comes with a grille protector and a 12,000-lb (5.443 kg) winch. The exterior transformation of the Snow Patrol is complete with rock sliders and side steps.
The interior changes are very minimal. The seats were upgraded by Nissan with pearl-color leather and cement-colored perforated inserts. Cobalt contrast stitching was also added. The Armada Snow Patrol logo was also stitched into the seatbacks by Nissan.
The Nissan Armada Snow Patrol concept is only a concept. The automaker is not yet expected to partner with Polaris. It’s always nice when automakers go above and beyond to make their product more appealing to customers. Here’s the blueprint for anyone who wanted to make their Armada Snow Patrol. It features a new bumper and larger wheels.
This month, the Nissan 370zki and the Nissan Armada Snow Patrol are both presented at the Nissan 365zki’s launch
