Audi’s EV line-up will expand this year.
The addition of the Audi A6 E-Tron to the Audi A6 E-Tron will increase the number of electric cars Audi has available. Audi showed the EV’s sleek design in a concept and it seems that the production version will keep most of its styling. The second batch of spy photos from the A6 Etron captures the electric sedan being tested at the Nurburgring. These photos show the Audi fully camouflaged in full-body camouflage. These spy photos, however, reveal some of the styling details, such as the split-headlight design at its front. Although the camo hides the rear, we can still see the large lower grille opening as well as vents at the bumper’s edges. Because it has stand-in taillight units, there isn’t much to see at its rear.
The new, electric sedan will be built on the Premium Platform Electric architecture (PPE), which was jointly developed by Porsche and Audi. We don’t know much about the powertrain, but we do know what platform it will be built on. Audi showed off the A6 E-Tron concept with a dual-motor setup that produced 470 horsepower (350kilowatts). It could reach speeds of 62 mph (100 km/h) in just four seconds. The PPE architecture will also be used to support the forthcoming electric Porsche Macan, and the AudiQ6 E-Tron crossover.
It’s not possible to know the car’s interior. Both the Audi E-Tron GT, and HTML4 E-Tron use an in-dash layout that has a bank below it. The car should have the most recent infotainment tech as well as safety features.
Audi A6 E-Tron could be revealed this year. Or, Audi could delay the unveiling until 2023. Audi spokespeople stated that the sedan could be revealed in 2022 . The company has not yet announced a date. The new Q6 E-Tron crossover will likely debut first, hinting at the A6 E-Tron’s future plans. The company will also introduce a wagon Avant – version which it showed off last month.
