Mercedes GLE Coupe Refreshed Taking a Run Around The Nurburgring

The sleek crossover is expected to be unveiled before the end the year.

This new gallery of spy photos shows the refreshed Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class Coupe in very minimal camouflage. This one laps the Nurburgring with just a bit of camouflage on its nose and tail.

This lower fascia is more complex than the GLEClass Coupe. Additional bodywork is required to fill the space between the inlets at the corners. Although the trapezoidal shape of the lower inlet is maintained, it has sharper edges.

Although the shape of the headlights is the same, camouflage suggests that the design inside the lamps may be different. The horizontal running light is still visible at the top of the headlights, but the vertical section along the inner edge seems gone.

Although it’s difficult to see clearly in these images, our spy reports that they saw a new steering wheel. Also, the cabin allegedly features updated infotainment software.

It is not clear what powertrain changes mean. This car has a hybrid powertrain, as indicated by the yellow sticker at its rear window.

A refresh is coming to the regular, more boxy GLEClass. The tweaks are the same. The lower fascia, headlights and taillights get a new look. The aggressive AMG models will also see styling changes.

Mercedes has yet to announce the debut date of the GLE-Class family’s refreshed GLC-Class. The updated GLCClass will arrive on June 1,. The revisions to the larger crossover will be available and on sale for either the 2023 model year or the 2024 model year.

The GLE Coupe was launched in summer 2019, and was available for purchase for the 2021 model-year. This was the second generation for the swoopy Mercedes model.
