It is elegant and sporty.
Spy shots of next-generation Mercedes AMG C63 reveal that the sedan is beginning to lose its camouflage. The sedan’s styling has begun to show, including the aggressive front bumper details. Kolesa.ru, our friends, ordered two renderings from these new photos. They then removed the remaining camouflage and revealed a sleek yet elegant high-performance sedan.
The differences between the C63 and next-gen C63 are subtle, but not insignificant. This is evident in the renderings. Although the lower bumper is still a familiar design it has been redesigned to be more precise than before. Bold black trim accents the fascia’s background, while the large lower intakes flank the wide central one. Front and center is the Panamericana grille.
The new taillights, Mercedes that were introduced earlier in the year on the C-Class line, make the rear look sportier. These sit high above the quad-exit exhaust outlets which are separated by a subtle diffuser. Although it isn’t as striking as the front, it looks better than the C63’s rear. The big brakes, which are housed in larger wheels, complete the renderings.
The renderings do not show the engine bay. However, if you were to open the hood, it would surprise you at . The next-generation C63 will be equipped with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder hybrid four-cylinder. It doesn’t sound like Mercedes is softening its grip. It is expected to produce more than 550 horsepower (410kilowatts), which is more than the V8’s 503. hp (375kW)
The hotter AMG variants don’t look too different from the model’s previous-generation. Mercedes went conservative with the model’s design, but made major changes under the sheet metal like the S-Class-inspired interior or tons of new tech. The 2022 Mercedes-AMG C63 is expected to debut by the end of this year.
