You have a great grin.
The new Hyundai Tucson will be here soon. It was first seen camouflaging prototypes in August 2019. Since then, it has made many on-camera appearances. Hyundai has done a great job of covering test vehicles, but we have seen enough to know that it will sport some unique body lines and a large grille.
A new YouTube video by AtchaCars attempts to remove the camouflage using a series renderings that show the crossover in different colors. Some renderings show the grille lit up, such as the cornering and the daytime running lamps. All of it blends seamlessly into a wide, toothy smile. The look is bold, regardless of whether you like it.
The big question is whether these renderings accurately represent the new model. We have seen light shining through some prototypes of the light-up grille.
One vehicle was spotted without heavy camouflage The front clip is not visible. The grille is located in the middle with two banks lights that mimic the grille’s shape on each side. These lights curve upwards to create the smile and blend seamlessly with the headlights.
The sharp and contrasting body lines of the Tucson seem more likely to be part of its design. Initial camouflage coverings made a difficult decision about whether we were seeing false body panels at the rear and sides. The contrasting creases between front and rear doors, as well as flared fenders, became apparent when the camo was changed to a body wrap. There are possible fake panels that exaggerate those lines, but it’s unlikely.
The answer to the million-dollar question is yes. These renderings look very similar to Hyundai’s new Tucson. This brings us to Motor1.com reader. This bold look is too bold for Hyundai’s popular people-movers?
