Take a closer look at Ford’s ‘Baby Bronco Camo To See A Surprise

This is not your typical swirls, swooshes and dots.

Our spy photographers took Ford’s “baby Bronco”, for the first time, about a month ago. It looked just like a regular prototype from the outside. The SUV looked ordinary from the outside, with camouflage and cladding covering it. However, it was easy to see its small dimensions. It is very similar to the leaked baby Bronco photo that we saw last year. Ford requested that we remove it, but you can still locate it online. This prototype baby Bronco wasn’t just any test mule. The unique camouflage was noticed by our colleagues at Autoblog.com. They noted that it doesn’t have the usual swirls, swooshes and dots.

The baby Bronco’s camouflage design is quite unique and can be seen closer. Each circle represents an outdoor activity. Autoblog.com counts six outdoor activities: biking, camping canoeing hiking mountain climbing and skiing. Ford is marketing the vehicle in a subtle way, even before the public realizes it exists. It’s like planting seeds long before they bear fruit.

A camouflage design is something that most automakers would not have thought of for a new vehicle. Camouflage for vehicles can be anything from stripes, swirls and dots to plain-old black cladding. This is done to prevent prying eyes and cameras capturing the car’s design. It’s possible that other automakers will follow Ford to create unique camouflage designs on their new vehicles.

The baby Bronco and the Bronco are still months away. Ford announced that the Bronco will be returning for the 2020 model year during the 2017 Detroit Auto Show. Ford will have many opportunities to showcase both Bronco models at the auto show, which starts soon. The baby Bronco could be a very attractive off-road vehicle if it is as capable as Ford claims. We won’t have long to wait, hopefully.
