Ram Promaster's European Brother Gets a Subtle Facelift

Here’s some exciting news that you can read right now.

It’s not the most exciting vehicle in the market, and it takes a while for the van to reach its maximum speed. It’s still a very important model, as the Ram Promaster’s European sibling is one of the most popular large vans on the Old continent.

The made in Italy bus was given a makeover last year that included new engines and new technology. These spy photos prove that it’s time for the Ducato get some visual updates. This isn’t the Ducato’s first facelift, but we’ll get there in a moment.

Let’s first take a look at this prototype. The prototype was tested on public roads using minimal camouflage to cover the front fascia. The Ducato’s face will not be changed, although the dimensions and side profile won’t change. You can expect to see a new radiator grille, and possibly a modified front bumper. Sources suggest that there may be new headlights, but the prototype doesn’t appear to have the updated clusters.

The back is nothing special. Everything looks the same as the model currently for sale. However, some stickers are found on the rear axle which might indicate suspension upgrades.

In 2014, the Ducato, which is a sister model to both the Peugeot Boxer (Europe) and Citroen Jumper (Europe), received a complete refresh. The model was given a complete refresh in 2014, with new Euro 6-compliant engines. The Fiat version was also the first to not require Adblue, unlike many of its rivals.

The closely related Ram Promaster in the United States is still being sold with the same face, despite receiving a major update for the model year 2021. The new Ducato design could indicate visual changes to the Promaster, but this cannot be confirmed.
