It’s available in coupe and roadster versions.
It’s the last Aventador. The final iteration, aptly named “Ultimae”, is the V12 supercar from Sant’Agata Bolognese. It arrives more than a decade since the original HTML700-4 was revealed at the Geneva Motor Show in February 2011. If we exclude the electrified Sian, the mid-engined bull has gained a lot of muscle in the past years. This last hurrah of the V12 supercar from Sant’Agata Bolognese is the most powerful.
The codename “LP 780-4” refers to the naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 that has been tuned to produce 780 PS at 8,500 rpm. This is 574 kW / 769 hp. It is slightly more powerful than the SVJ The Ultimae has the same 531 lbft (720 Nm), torque and is available at 6,750 rpm. The Ultimae is only 1,550 kg (3,417 lb, dry), which makes it 25 kg (55 lbs lighter) than the Aventador S and offers the same power-toweight ratio as the SVJ.
The Aventador is the swan song of the S. It combines the elegance and luxury touches of the S with extra performance provided by the SVJ. You can choose from coupe or roadster versions with rear-wheel steering and four-wheel drive. The Superveloce Jota’s obvious rear wing is gone. It has been replaced by a more subtle (as subtle a Lamborghini can possibly be rear end) active wing with three positions: closed, maximum performance and maximum handling.
The Aventador’s performance is still impressive. The Ultimae coupe can reach 62 mph (100 km/h), in 2.8 seconds, and 124mph (200 km/h), in 8.7 seconds. It also reaches a top speed at 220.5 mph (355km/h). Although the roadster is a little slower due to the heavier body and more complicated roof, you won’t notice it in real life.
There are 18 standard colors available. The company also offers Ad Personam customization, which allows for more than 300 color options. The Ultimae will be available with 20- and 21 inch forged alloys in a variety of finishes. It will also come with Pirelli P Zero corsa tires and brakes calipers in multiple colours. It will have the same interior as the Aventador S but it will come with a 001 reference of 350/250 to indicate the limited edition’s status. Only 350 coupes and 250 roadsters will be made.
Both body styles will be on display at Lamborghini’s Goodwood Festival of Speed later in the week. The Ultimae, an Italian supercar marque, is in decline. It has announced plans to hybridize all cars before 2024 and launch an electric vehicle during the second half of the next decade. A fourth model will join the Urus SUV and the Huracan, Aventador, and Aventador replacements.
