Ford Insider Reveals Future for F-150, Mustang Ranger, Bronco, and Ranger

Ford Insider Reveals Future for F-150, Mustang Ranger, Bronco, and Ranger

Ford’s most recognizable nameplates are revealed to us in an exclusive glimpse into the future.

Here are some Blue Oval insider information to kick off your week. Motor1.com was tipped about Ford’s future production plans for several models, including the F150 and Mustang. This anonymous tip gives us valuable insight into the Bronco as well as Ranger. Although the information cannot be confirmed, it is from a trusted source and matches recent leaks.

The Bronco will be our first focus, since it’s the Ford-badged car that is attracting the most attention. Ford confirmed that it will be available this spring. However, an insider claims production won’t start until late 2020. December 7th is the most precise. According to the type of Bronco, customers won’t see new Broncos until either January 2021 or February 2021 depending on whether they are a two-door or four door model.

Ford must keep the F-150 competitive with Chevrolet, Ram and Ram releasing new pickup trucks over the past year. Our source claims that pilot production has already begun at Ford’s Kansas City assembly facility. Standard production will begin in August. We don’t know when the reveal of the other F-150 plant in Detroit, however, it will be a few weeks before Kansas City.

The new F-150 will also be an evolution of the current F-150, but it is not an entirely new truck. The underpinnings of the 2014 model year will be used, and Ford’s full-size SUVs in 2022 will also use this platform. A new chassis is being developed for the next-generation F-150. It will be available in 2026.

The next-gen Super duty truck will be in production by late 2022, for the 2023 model year. The next-generation Ranger will be available in the U.S. beginning in 2021. The F-150 Raptor fans will be pleased to hear that the off-road truck’s performance will be back with the F-150’s new redesign. It will go on sale in summer 2021.

Finally, we get to Mustang. Ford’s pony cars have seen a decline in sales in recent years. We now know that a new car, the S650 internally, will be coming to market in 2022 as a model 2023 thanks to a Ford job posting. It will be launched in the last week of June 2022, according to our insider. It won’t be a completely new car, as it will use a modified version of the existing platform. We’re told that it will last for approximately five years. A completely new Mustang is planned for 2025.

Are these the real outcomes for Ford? It will take time to see, and there are many external factors that could impact some of these long-term plans. For the short-term, however, the math works out for us.
