It is possible that we will not see the real deal until 2023.
It took months of imagination to imagine and sketch the next BMW. There have been many designers who tried to digitally undress the M2 prototypes, creating unofficial renderings.
Now, however, the 2022 BMW 2 Series Coupe It’s only a matter time before someone interprets the 2er as a fully-fledged M vehicle. The M2 will be based on a regular BMW compact coupe just like the F87 generation.
XTomi Design was the first to leap the gun. You can see the official rendering at the top of this page. It’s up to you whether you like the rendering.
X-Tomi’s M2 interpretation does not include the triangular vents at the corners of the bumpers, unlike the M240i xDrive all-wheel-drive M240i xDrive. However, the larger openings at the bottom of the bumper are obvious, as well as the small canards, which are intended to improve aerodynamics for the hot 2er. This rendering has a black roof.
Information about the next M2 is limited beyond spy shots. We know that the G87 generation HTML2 will have 450 horsepower (336 Kilowatts) and just over 400 pound-feet (542 Newton meters) of torque in its standard configuration. This power is only available via a manual or eight-speed automatic to the rear wheels.
However, there is not much information available at the moment and we will wait a while to hear anything about the next BMW M2. According to a recent report, it will be in production by December 2022. This means that we won’t see any new BMW M2 on public roads until 2023. However, a reveal is expected to take place by the end of next year.
