Ford F-150 Supposedly Loses 3.0L Power Stroke Diesel Motor

According to some reports, the oil burner will not last long.

The Blue Oval has many options for powertrain options if you are looking for a F-150. It seems that Ford will reduce these options in the near future, according to the latest exclusive report by Ford Authority.

The website states that the 3.0-liter Power Stroke V6 Diesel engine, which was introduced in 2018 with the F-150’s previous-generation F-150, won’t last long and will be removed from the lineup.

The report did not give any reason, but it listed a few possible causes of the death of the oil burner.

The Power Stroke diesel was cited as being the weakest of all the engines, even though it is out-powered by 3.3L Ti–VCT. It is important to remember that even though the V6 diesel produces a lot of torque in the low range, the 3.5L EcoBoost V6 Hybrid and the new 3.5L PowerBoost V6 Hybrid offer a significant torque advantage over diesel at higher RPMs.

The Power Stroke diesel’s fuel consumption ratings are what made it so great. This is exactly what the PowerBoost hybrid V6 did in the official EPA efficiency figures.

The hybrid F-150 has a combined fuel consumption rating that is 24 MPG. This impressive figure comes from the F-150’s most powerful engine option, at least until the supercharged V8-powered RaptorR arrives.

We don’t know what the Blue Oval did to cause this change, nor do we know if the Ford Authority report is correct. The Power Stroke V6 Diesel diesel is still an option on Ford’s site as of writing.
