You can choose between turbocharged or supercharged.
The Mercedes AMG C63 Coupe Black Series has been produced in a very limited number of units. This is the fourth Black Series model the German automaker has ever released, and it was recently joined by the Mercedes AMG GT Black Series.
The Mercedes-Benz AMG C63 Black Series is a special-built model. The naturally-aspirated M156 V8 produces 510 horsepower (380kilowatts) as well as 457 pound-feet (602 Newton-meters) of torque. However, these figures are not enough to support UK’s MSL Performanc.
carwow shows an AMG C63 Black Series receiving a supercharger, and other oily bits. This increases its output to 750 horsepower (559 kW), and 701 lb/ft (950 Nm). This is a huge upgrade but it doesn’t mean its rival isn’t capable.
Evolve Automotive tuned the F80 generation BMW M3 to be the challenger. The M3 here can produce 700 horsepower (522), and has the same torque.
The power of both cars is sent to the rear wheels, but the AMG is clearly more powerful. The M3 is 200 kg lighter than the AMG, or 441 pounds. This is a significant advantage, though, since the M3 should have at least three additional people to match the car’s heavier weight.
The BMW’s weight advantage, presence of turbochargers, and power advantage could all play a significant role. Which of these German-tuned performance machines won the quarter-mile, one-mile and half-mile drag races?
