It beats the factory-rated top speeds
Although the Jaguar XFRS-S isn’t a sport sedan we often think about, this video shows that the four-door can perform well on the autobahn. You can see the speedometer doing a complete sweep from one side to the other.
the new XFR-S was unveiled at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show. The XFR-S shares a supercharged 5.0 liter V8 with the XKR. It produces 542 horsepower (405 kilowatts), and 502 pound feet (680 Newton-meters). The power was sent to the rear wheels by an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Jag also added carbon fiber parts to the front splitter and side sills, rear wings, and diffuser. To improve handling, the company tweaked the Electronic Active Differential (EADC) and Dynamic Stability Control settings.
According to the factory specifications, the engine could propel the sedan up to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 4.6 seconds. The engine had a top speed electronically limited to 186 mph (390 kph). It may have been a typo.
This video contains a few runs. The XFR-S reaches 294 km/h (182.7 mph) the first time. The GPS indicates 285 kph (177.5 mph) the second time. It makes a powerful sound that is amazing.
The video cuts to the top speed run. The Jag is already at 230 kph (14.2 mph). The XFR-S accelerates well even at such high speeds. The road is almost empty and the driver can keep the accelerator on the ground.
The analog speedometer is at its maximum, while the digital shows 311 km/h (193.2 mph). Zooming in on GPS shows that the sedan is traveling 302 km/h (187.7 miles) which is still faster than the factory-quoted top speed.
