Minority Report was contacted by someone who created a Lexus 2054-like lookalike. The “2016 Vetter Custom Dimensia” was not well received by eBay bidders.
Although Steven Spielberg’s Minority Report was released in 2002, car enthusiasts probably still recall the futuristic Lexus 2054. A person with over twenty years of experience building custom cars created the “2016 VetterCustom Dimensia”. Although it isn’t exactly the same car as the film, it is still an admirable effort. The $95,000 asking price was too high, which is why it didn’t sell on eBay. The listing states that the Lexus 2054 is a replica of the Lexus 2054 in Ferrari red and powered by a six-cylinder Porsche engine. This engine “sounds crazy” due to the custom exhaust system. Although the engine is connected to an automatic transmission that sends power to the rear axle of the vehicle, there is no information about the output or performance of the coupe. The seller offered a one-year warranty on the drivetrain and any custom parts. But that was not enough to persuade someone to pay the exact same amount Porsche is asking for a new 911 Carrera 4. The listing on eBay mentions that the seller is willing to trade his “Lexus” car for a Chevy Corvette, C6 to be used as a donor vehicle for his next project. However, there were no takers.
