This is the only example completely wrapped in carbon fiber.
That’s not a typo. This is not a typo. I am referring to Rossio. Rossion Automotive, an American sports car manufacturer, was able in 2007 to purchase the rights to the noble M400. The marque was able to acquire the Q1 mid-engine sportscar.
Rossion apparently made three versions of the Q1, known as Q1R. Only one of these models has a carbon fiber body. The Q1R is one the most rare cars on Earth, based on what I just said. You have the opportunity to buy one, as this particular Q1R is available for auction at bringatrailer.com.
The Q1R is an upgraded sports car that can produce 508 horsepower and more on the track.
The 2018 Q1R is a track car and has a full roll cage, Sparco racing chairs, and OMP five point harnesses. This particular Q1R example is unique because of its carbon fiber body. It looks just as cool as its purpose, which is to dramatically reduce weight and speed up track times.
The Q1R turbocharged Ford 2.0 liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine (yes, it’s the same engine in the Mustang EcoBoost), which delivers 287 horses to rear wheels via a six speed manual transmission and a limited slip differential. Although the numbers we have just described sound lower than the regular Q1, imagine how much weight it gained with its carbon-fiber body.
Double-adjustable Koni coilovers with H&R springs are used to prevent damping. The custom-made 18-inch forged wheels are fitted with Toyo Proxes R888, with a staggered width. Wilwood brake calipers do the stopping.
The 2018 Rossion Q1R is not intended for street use, and it has not been titled. It is currently up for auction for five more days with a bid of $25,000.
