Lincoln continues to test emissions from the crossover.

Automakers are reluctant to reveal new products until they’re ready for a big debut. To hide and distort new vehicles’ shapes from curious eyes, test vehicles are often covered in camouflage and cladding. But Lincoln isn’t keeping people away from its updated Corsair crossover. New spy photos show the Lincoln being tested with a large sticker featuring Kanye West’s face on its rear window. Why?

These new photos do not answer this question and they don’t reveal any new information about the model. It does have a new, strange device on its rear fender that has wires running underneath it. Lincoln will likely continue to test the vehicle’s emission levels. The First batch of Corsair spy photos Also, the exhaust tips at its back were also found to be strange. Lincoln could be tweaking the powertrains, but we don’t know what this could mean.

The Corsair is available with three powertrain options: the turbocharged 2.0-liter or turbocharged 2.5-liter. Or the 2.5 liter plug-in hybrid. Lincoln will begin offering the all-electric Corsair E in 2026. However, the brand will debut its first electric vehicle sometime prior to then. Although we doubt that the crossover will see a major overhaul, any changes Lincoln makes could result in the car offering more power and better efficiency.

Camouflage will continue to be worn at the front of the crossover, where Lincoln will make the most styling changes. Camouflage covers likely conceal revised bumper styling, updated headlights and a modified grille. Although the camo obscures some of the finer details on the model, it will likely get a minor makeover. The rear of the crossover is not camouflaged, so it may remain the same on the 2023 model.

Lincoln introduced the Corsair as the replacement for its MKC in 2020. The Corsair was launched as part of Lincoln’s strategy to distinguish its products from Ford stablemates and return the brand to real names on its cars. While the new name and design didn’t boost sales, competition is increasing. Although the car is just two years old, we could still see the refreshed version of the vehicle debut this year, before it goes on sale in 2023.
