Audi A6 Etron Production Version Almost Debuts in 2022

In the next year, production will begin on an electric liftback.

The Audi A6 E-Tron Concept, which was unveiled in Shanghai earlier this summer, was beautiful to behold. It is a beautiful EV, and the fact that it has a 400+ range rating makes this a practical one.

This concept car is another variant of the Audi A6 range and could be produced as soon as 2022. According to an Audi spokesperson, the information was confirmed to Roadshow. According to the report, the vehicle will be produced in the year following its global debut.

Roadshow was also informed by the same Audi spokesperson that the Q6 E-Tron would debut in 2022. The Q6 Etron has been seen in spy images, and we know it will be riding on the Premium Platform Electric, developed by Audi and Porsche. We believe that the Q6 E-Tron, next-generation Porsche Macan, and the Q6 E-Tron will use the PPE platform.

We expect the production version of the A6 E-Tron to be very similar to the concept vehicle you can see in the gallery. The drivable version will also have the same specs, with a dual-electric motor setup producing 470 horsepower (350kilowatts) as well as 590 pound-feet (880 Newton-meters).

According to the concept, the A6 E-Tron can travel up to 435 miles (705 kilometers) per WLTP. Fast charging is possible at speeds up to 270kW. This translates into a range of over 186 miles (300 km) after just 10 minutes. In less than 25 minutes, you can fill up to 5 to 80 percent of your battery.

We will soon know more about how these numbers translate into the production version. As this story suggests, we may not need to wait too long.
