The inside and outside of the base model XL are shown.
Yes, you have seen images of the Ford Maverick, and yes, there were also images of the base Maverick XL. This is the most affordable Maverick, with a base price $19,995, but it really costs $21,490 when you include the mandatory destination fee. Automakers present their trucks in the best possible manner, which can skew perceptions of the truck in a real-life setting.
We are happy to share these photos of a Maverick XL from @aidancarspotter, via Instagram. Although we aren’t sure where it is, we can see the Bronco along with the F150 alongside it to give an idea of its size. This truck is definitely small, but here’s an image of the interior. This entry-level model is actually not bad compared to the compact Ranger.
The interior’s basic design features cloth seats. There is a lot of gray throughout the cabin. The instrument cluster has a 4.2-inch productivity display and a standard-issue 8.0 inch center touchscreen. Both have Bluetooth connectivity, Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. It’s powered by the windows and locks, and has air conditioning.
The standard powertrain for the Maverick is the 2.5-liter four-cylinder hybrid engine that drives the front wheels via a CVT. Although this configuration doesn’t look truck-like, as we saw with the leaked Ford Maverick Product Guide, the automaker wants to sell the truck to a new audience. The standard powertrain is the 2.5-liter hybrid four-cylinder driving just front wheels through a CVT. Ford has a clever 4.5-foot bed that can be configured for various cargo duties. It also boasts an estimated 40-mpg rating within the city.
The Maverick and all of its trims will be available in dealerships by the end of this fall.
