The world’s smallest teaser photo shows one of BMW’s largest-ever grilles.
We were able to access BMW’s dedicated page for livestreams after receiving a press release about the 5 and 6 Series Gran Turismo facelifts. We found a tiny image of the new 4 Series Coupe that will be given a digital test drive. Official premiere will take place June 2, which is exactly one week from today.
BMW teased the new 4er not once before, as they invited our colleagues to join them. Motor1.com Germany To Take a ride In camouflaged prototype pre-production earlier this year. The M Performance version was a modified version that will carry the M440ixDrive badge, which is identical to its four-door sibling the M340i.
The M440i will undoubtedly be the highlight of the show, as the full-fat HTML4 will be available at a later date. The car’s design is not difficult to see considering BMW showed the next-gen 4 Series Coupe with the name at the Frankfurt Motor Show last year. The oversized pair is here, and you can see the grille in the low-resolution image. The intricate grille pattern on the M Performance model is a sign that we are dealing with it. Both the M340i and M135i have similar looks.
The 4 Series lineup will be updated, with the convertible expected to arrive in the middle of next year. The redesigned 4 Series Gran Coupe and its electric sibling, the i4, will be available in 2021. According to reports, the zero-emissions version is the best in terms of power and will surpass the M4 Competition’s 510-hp output.
Rumours abound about BMW making an M4 Gran Coupe in order to compete with the Audi RS5 Sportback. However, we have heard from the inside that this is unlikely to be true.
