It is actually owned by a racer.
Singer Vehicle Design has a new All-Terrain Competition Study, which is a refreshing twist on its traditional recipe. This high-riding beauty draws inspiration from the Porsche 953-winning Dakar Rally winner Porsche 953 while also adding special touches to make it truly original.
Because of the protruding sides of the bumper, the front of the All-Terrain Competition Study has a strange view. These protrusions are mudguards and would prevent some of the spray from splashing onto your body if the wheels collide into a puddle.
To cover the 16-inch forged wheels wrapped in BF Goodrich tires, massive fender flares can be found at each corner. The lower flank is covered by a thick sill. It has an embossed Porsche emblem, which evokes the decals found here on company machines.
The back of the vehicle has a 959-style tail that incorporates into the sculpting. Strakes supply air to the engine and two exhaust outlets protrude from the rear bumper.
Because the All-Terrain Competition Study is intended to be raced, the interior design is purposeful. The driver holds a three-spoke steering column with a variety of buttons at the lower portion. The driver looks at the passenger, who is looking at the huge screen that allows him to navigate the car through the desert. The rest of the cabin is occupied by a bright red (or even pink depending on the light).
The rear deck houses a 3.6-liter, twin-turbo air-cooled flat-six that produces about 450 horsepower (336 megawatts). The engine runs through a 5-speed sequential gearbox, to a full-time all wheel-drive system. Dual, adjustable dampers are located at each corner of the suspension.
After Singer had initially requested that Singer build the car, Tuthill Porsche worked with Singer on the engineering of the project.
The All-Terrain Competition Study does not have to be a one-off. A commission is also granted to the buyer for a red example, which is “designed for high speed, high-grip asphalt events,” according Top Gear. Singer is also granted permission by the commissioner to make additional copies if someone else places an order.
