Bentley is having a very festive time at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, where it blows the 100 th candles on the company’s birthday cake. Crewe’s major milestone is being celebrated by the British marque. They have created a special Continental GT that they call the “ultimate collector’s version” of this grand tourer. The Continental GT Number 9 Edition, handbuilt by Mulliner will be limited to 100 cars. One for every year Bentley has been in business.
The limited-run Conti is named after Sir Henry Ralph Stanley Birkin’s supercharged race car, which he drove at the 1930 Le Mans 24 Hours. The GT’s exclusive GT is adorned with the No. The grille features a 9 graphic to represent the supercharged race car that Bentley enthusiasts are familiar with.
100 people who are able to sign their names can choose to have the car painted in Viridian Green or ask Müller to paint it in a more elegant Beluga Black. The car will include matching 21-inch wheels and a 10-spoke design. It also includes a carbon fiber package, black accents, and a carbon fibre package.
Bentley and Mulliner will wrap your seats in Cumbrian Green leather or Beluga leather, and add “B” logos to the interior to imitate the Blower’s doorpads. A Bentley Blower artifact graces the fancy rotating console. The wood insert at the dial’s center was taken directly from the 1930 Le Mans racecar’s seat.
Mulliner added special treadplates with “1 of 100”, lettering, and 18K gold-plated organ stops to the dash as a final touch.
Bentley says all the cars it plans to build in 2019 will have visual enhancements inside and outside to commemorate its centenary.
