Acura NSX GT3Evo22 Gets Mechanical Upgrades

Through 2024, homologated

With the release of the Evo22 version, the Acura Honda NSX GT3 will enter the next phase in its history. The NSX GT3 Evo22 will be entered in motorsport competitions around the world starting in 2022. It features a variety of mechanical upgrades that address both driver and team needs.

The main feature of the new race car is its upgraded engine intercoolers. These have been specifically designed to provide consistent powertrain performance in all conditions. The fluid tanks are larger and better suited for endurance races. There is also a revised suspension geometry, spring rates and suspension geometry. Wheel system modifications allow for faster tire changes.

The NSX GT3 Evo22 is designed to be available for new orders and homologated up to 2024. It will be available with new options for the air conditioner and headlights. The Performance Manufacturing Center in Marysville will continue to provide the chassis, while JAS Motorsport will complete the final assembly in Milan, Italy. This latter also provides technical support to the customers and teams using the NSX racecar in Europe.

In 2017, the original NSX GT3 first appeared. It has won 25 class victories in IMSA GTD competitions and SRO GT competitions. It is currently the manufacturers’ champion and defends both titles.

John Whiteman, Honda Performance Development manager said, “We are delighted to announce the latest development of Acura NSX GT3.” “While the NSX has won titles and races in some of the most prestigious GT3 series in the world, we believe that our products can be improved and that our Acura Motorsports teams receive the best equipment and support.”
