Rare RUF Slantnose Porsche Gets First Wash In 10 Years

That’s just one RUF.

This is a rare 1 of 2 RUF Sidenose Cabriolet. It was part of Road and Track’s car collection and was on the cover. However, it has not been washed for many years. AMMO NYC’s Larry Kosilla is there to save the day. Larry is a master car detailer and the right man for the job. Let’s now relax and watch as this RUF becomes a perfect collector’s item.

The Porsche 911 slant nose was designed to improve the Porsche 911’s aerodynamics and allow it to reach higher speeds. This unusual design is highly sought-after by Porsche collectors.

This Porsche 911 slantnose is made by the legendary Porsche tuning company RUF. It is also one of two cabriolet models. RUF began their work on Porsche’s in 1975 when they launched the Yellow Bird, their first complete model. RUF released a 25-unit run of RUF BTRs, based on the Porsche 930. This is the Porsche 911 Turbo for those who are not Porsche nerds.

RUF wheels, bodywork and RUF’s 5-speed manual transmission made the RUF BTR a stunning flat-6. RUF took the Porsche 930 Slantnose’s flat six and tore out the block. The block was bored to 3.4-liters. It featured upgraded pistons, twin spark ignition and a larger turbocharge that allowed for an impressive 32% increase in power. RUF’s efforts resulted in the RUF BTR putting out a remarkable 375 horsepower.

This RUF CTR Cabriolet is a special car that deserves the finest detail. This relaxing video shows that larry’s attention is exceptional. We are looking forward to the second part of this video series.
