Could it be the Civic Prototype’s shadow?
The next-generation Honda Civic Si will be arriving at dealerships this October, which means that almost all details regarding its specifications are known to the manufacturer. While we hope to have all the details soon, there are some leaks that show the exterior colors of the Civic’s warm Civic.
Members of the CivicXI forum received a dealer screenshot which revealed the six body colors for the Civic Si in the model year 2022. These are the Crystal Black Pearl (Aegean Blue Metallic), Red Sonic Gray Pearl and Platinum White Pearl. This is a new hue and may be related to the Civic Prototype color.
To show what the next-generation Civic will look like, the near-production-ready Civic was unveiled in November 2013. The four-door Civic received an update to its exterior design, as well as a new interior layout that features a horizontal dashboard.
Honda already confirmed that the Civic Si will only be available in sedan form with a manual transmission. It will continue to fill the gap between the regular Civic, and the Civic Type R.
The powertrain is the most mysterious aspect of the new Civic Si. The 1.5-liter turbo engine that powered the outgoing Civic was able to produce 205 horsepower (153 Kilowatts) as well as 192 pound-feet (261 Newton-meters). The 2022 model year has seen an increase in the number of regular Civic models.
