2022 Ford GT Heritage Edition Introduces as a Tribute to the Original GT Prototype

It is Wimbledon White with exposed carbon fibre and Antimatter Blue accents

To pay tribute to the 1964 Ford GT, the 2022 Ford GT Heritage Edition is available. There are many rumors about the Blue Oval preparing a stronger send-off for this supercar. However, these spy photos and rumors are not true. This model is retro-inspired and will appeal to those who love the GT40’s past.

The GT Heritage Edition’s latest model has a body mostly made of Wimbledon White. The gloss-finished exposed carbon fiber parts of the rear diffuser, front splitter and side sills are made from gloss carbon fiber. Antimatter Blue is used for the stripe on roof and rear deck. Antimatter Blue-painted carbon fibre 20-inch wheels are used for the vehicle. The brake calipers have silver and black lacquer.
The interior features Lightspeed Blue Alcantara upholstery and silver stitching. The seat surfaces and the head restraints have an embossed GT logo. The instrument panel is covered in Ebony leather. The steering wheel, pillars, and headliner are all the same color, but in Alcantara. Carbon fiber is used for the door sills, console, and lower A-pillars.

Mike Severson, Ford GT program manager, stated that this Ford GT Heritage Edition goes beyond just celebrating wins. It honors the best of Ford supercar heritage.

Monterey Car Week will feature the 2022 Ford GT Heritage Edition. The 1964 Ford GT prototype will be on display at The Quail as well as on the concept lawn at The Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.

This Heritage Edition has some unique colors and finishes. However, there is evidence that Ford is also working on a more powerful GT. Contrary rumors claim that the company may install a 7.3-liter engine in the supercar, or upgrade the already existing twin-turbo V6. According to reports, the output is more than 700 horsepower (522 kilowatts).
