A failed show-off attempt at Car Meet results in a new Toyota Supra being lost

This is what happens when your car has more than you can handle.

This past week, we witnessed a bunch of deranged drivers blockading a busy highway in New Jersey for “donuts”. Here’s another, this time it’s an unfortunate accident behind-the wheel. It was captured and posted to the same Reddit thread.

The embedded video below shows how a Supra was completely out of control and sliding on an empty street (thankfully). The coupe crashed into the curb. This would have probably caused the car to crash, even though no confirmation was given.

According to the poster, the driver was trying to display a brand-new stock Toyota Supra at the car meet. The driver may have been trying to drift along a straight road or, as some commenters noted, he lost control after taking full throttle on a sharp right. This led to several unfortunate events.

The Supra was also allegedly a loaned dealer car that the kid tried passing off as his own car.

Auto Club YEG posted a video to its Instagram account in response to the car accident that occurred the night before. The representative of the Canadian car club in Alberta tried to explain their side. He said that the Supra was not a loaner car and that it is their car. The video is embedded at the end of this article. He also provided additional explanations. As everyone knows, the yellow Supra is a write-off.

Although we won’t know the exact score of this accident, one thing is certain: showing off is not only inevitable, but also carries a lot of responsibility, especially if your car is larger than you can handle.
