The highly anticipated 2015 Honda/Acura Honda NSX is currently being tested in Germany at the Nurburgring circuit.

Honda has been quiet about the long-awaited NSX resurrection. However, we now have spy photos of a camouflaged prototype being tested at the ‘Ring. This is ahead of a full reveal expected before the end 2015 since the company already announced plans for production at a new Performance Manufacturing Center located in Ohio. They are investing 70M USD. Honda R&D Americas, Raymond, Ohio, is developing the 2015 NSX.

It looks almost identical to the Acura NAIAS concept that was displayed at Detroit’s NAIAS last year. This car is a minor update of the concept that was displayed at the same location a year ago. The car will be powered by a three-motor hybrid system that includes two electric motors for the front wheels and a third motor in the all-new dual clutch transmission. A rear-mounted V6 engine will drive the rear axle.

Honda calls this system Sport Hybrid Super Handling All Wheel Drive, (SH-AWD). They claim it can provide the NSX with an “instant delivery of negative and positive torque to front wheels during cornering to achieve a level of driving performance unmatched by AWD systems.”
