It won’t work.

Hagerty estimates that you should spend no less than $700,000. A well-kept example of a Toyota2000GT will cost you around $700,000. This handsome example could be yours for less than the new Mitsubishi Mirage’s price ($13,395). It won’t even be possible to drive it.

This unique Toyota 2000GT in golden was a centerpiece of the 2018 Golden World exhibit at Matsuzakaya’s high-end department store in Nagoya. It is completely finished in 24-karat, with the exception of the 925 sterling-silver wheels and tires. The cost for this unique Toyota 2000GT is a cool Y=1.3million (approximately $11,500). It’s not the most affordable scale model that you can find online, but it’s one of the most beautiful.

The smallest version, called the “S”, weighs 45g and measures 10.0×4.0x2.5cms. This makes it approximately 1:23 scale. The heavier version, the “M”, weighs 120 grams and measures 15.3×4.1×6.0 cms. This is a 1:15 scale. Although theoretically there is room for an “L” version, the company lists only the two versions.

It was presented as part of Japanese new year celebrations. To take the 2000GT home, you will need to visit the Matsuzakaya shop in person. However, you can also peruse the departmental store’s website to learn more about it before you book your flight to Japan.
