Options available up to $20,000
The BMWXconfigurator has been made available. This means that it is time to make the most expensive version possible. BMW’s electric SUV is a new beginning for the brand. However, it doesn’t mean that we should abandon our traditions. Instead of building an affordable SUV, use the configurator to build the most expensive version possible as BMW intended. The combination of the following options enabled us to build our BMW iX at $106,675 – can you beat that?
The BMW iX begins at xDrive50, which is $83,200 for just the base trim. The Sport package adds $2800 to the base trim and includes Shadowline exterior trim, 21-inch wheels, and dark clear taillights. Next we move on to exterior color. BMW offers six standard colors as well as two options that cost $1,950. To give the exterior a XX greater presence and excitement, we chose the Aventurin Red Metallic.
You can select from six standard and four optional wheels with the iX Sport package. The 22″ Aero Bicolor wheels cost $950 more than the standard wheel. The BMW iX customer is offered three colors of synthetic leather, known as Sensatec (in BMW speak), and a cloth option for $500. For a wallet that costs $2,450, we chose full perforated leather Castenea Chestnut. We couldn’t choose between standard Titanium Bronze or full perforated leather Castenea Chestnut when it came to trim.
The BMW iX’s price can be inflated by adding options. The Premium option package includes the following: Heads-up display, BMW gesture control, voice control, interior camera and iconic sounds electric. It also includes a personal 5G hotspot, head-up display, BMW gesture, and voice control. This package is only $4,000, which seems great to us. The Premium Harmon Kardon sound system is included. However, BMW offers the option to add a Bowers and Wilkens upgrade for $3,400. Other options include the luxury trim package and radiant heat package, dynamic handling, ventilated seats and BMW laser headlights.
