It is bigger than you realize.

The Austin Mini is a classic in today’s growing vehicle market. The Austin Mini truck is the antithesis of the huge trucks that ply the streets of America. Larry Chen, Hoonigan Auto Focus’s host, shows us an Austin Mini truck that he has built with love and some JDM flair.

Ricky, who is the proud owner of this amazing Austin Minitruck, had envisioned owning a classic Mini for many decades. An Austin Mini Truck was put up for sale in Texas after Ricky reached the point in his life where he was ready to make the leap. Ricky finally fulfilled his lifelong dream of Mini ownership by purchasing the Austin Mini truck after a quick flight from California.

Austin Mini Truck is one rarer version of the Mini. Austin produced 58,179 vehicles in its 22-year production period. Austin removed the rear seat area to allow for a bed that extends slightly beyond the rear wheels in order to build the Mini Truck. Although this unique pickup truck with a single cab seems like something that a Mini fanatic would build in their garage, the Mini Truck is the real thing. The Mini Truck doesn’t live in a garage and can run normal errands or go to the home depot as any other truck. This proves that you don’t necessarily need an F-250 every year to buy wood. This adorable little truck is a passion project for its owner. It also features unique JDM modifications and other add-ons that make it a dream build.
