In case you didn’t know, the new HuracanEvo debuts with the Performante engine behind the seats. It has the same naturally-aspirated V10 engine of 5.2-liters that produces 630 horsepower (443 kilowatts) as well as 600 Newton-meters (443 pounds-feet), to all four wheels. It is also light, weighing in at just 1,422 kg (3,135 lb, dry). This allows the baby Lamborghini sprint to 62 mph (100 km/h), which is 0.3 seconds faster than the prefacelift model.
The Huracan Performante, weighing in at 3,047 lbs (1.382 kg), is lighter. However, this didn’t diminish the chances of the Huracan Evo, as you can see in the drag racing below. Although it was close, the Evo clearly beat the Performante at drag strip. But, one thing is necessary to be noted. The Performante appears to have gotten stuck at the start line. It is possible that the tires on each model may have affected the results. Whatever the case, the two wins for Performante (with the Performante winning from a jump at line) were quite conclusive considering the fact that the cars came stock. Both cars perform better at a track than on a drag strip. What are your thoughts? We would love to hear your thoughts in the comments section below.
