It only costs $195
The 2021 Ram 1500 receives a Snow Plow Prep Package that will debut at “The Work Truck Show” by the National Truck Equipment Association in Indianapolis, Indiana. Although it seems strange to introduce snow-clearing options in March, even in the coldest regions of the United States, spring is in sight.
Ram 1500’s Snow Plow Prep Package includes a 220-amp alternator, a wiring harness to hook up a snowplow, and a power sliding rear window with defroster. The active front air dam is removed to make room for the plow mountings. This equipment will be available for purchase later in the year at a cost of $195. The equipment is available on the Ram 1500 Tradesman and Big Horn and Laramie 4-x4 trims that include either the 5.7-liter or 5.7-liter V8s with eTorque mild hybrid tech, or the 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6. Customers will still need to provide their own plow.
Ram’s pickup trucks enjoyed a strong 2019 with being the second-strongest pickup brand. These models were sold 633,694 times, beating the Silverado’s 575.600 volume. With 896,526 trucks moving, the Ford F-Series remained the market leader.
Ram will add the high-performance RebelTRX to its 1500 lineup in 2020. This vehicle will be a challenger to vehicles like the Ford F-150 Raptor. The Hellcat V8 will make over 700 horsepower (or 522 kilowatts) and it’ll be powered by FCA. The new components will be able to match the power boost and include Bilstein shocks, ARB locking diffs, and offroad-focused tires. This summer, the Detroit Auto Show will likely host the debut.
