Novitec Superchargers Lamborghini Aventador SV Roadster To 970 HP

The standard SuperVeloce had 750 horsepower, which was clearly insufficient.

Novitec Torado tinkered with the Lamborghini Aventador SV Coupe a little more than a year ago, putting it on a carbon fibre diet and boosting the 6.5-liter V12. The Roadster will now receive a similar set of upgrades but with a twist. The tuner added a supercharger to increase the engine’s output to 970 horsepower. The regular model is equipped with “only” 750 raging Bulls.

Although you cannot see the 220 horsepower difference in these eye-candy photos, you can still notice the Vossen aftermarket wheels and aerodynamic body kit. The front axle measures 20 inches and the rear axle measures 21 inches. Novitec Torado also included a number of carbon fiber bits throughout the body. They also added a KW coilover suspension to maximize the V12’s amazing sound and upgraded exhaust systems.

With its latest upgrade kit, the tuner targets a small market. This is because Lamborghini only made 500 units of the Aventador, making it more exclusive than the 600-unit coupe. The last SuperVeloce Coupe was unveiled earlier in the month with all-gray paint borrowed form the Porsche 918 Spyder.

Some people prefer Lamborghinis stock, while others feel there’s room to improve the cars that come out of Sant’Agata Bolognese. Novitec, a tuning company, is here to help solve this first world problem. They can customize even high-end machines at very expensive prices. Some people may find supercharging the V12 a bit sacrilegious, but there is a demand for a nearly 4-digit horsepower Lamborghini. It’s difficult to reach the 1,000-hp threshold if the engine is naturally aspirated. In this instance, turbocharging or supercharging is the best option.
