Lexus RC F continues for 2022 with Limited Fuji Speedway Edition

A few minor updates to the old V8.

Lexus lovers, rejoice. With a few subtle changes, but not insignificant, the F two door performance coupe will continue for the 2022 model-year.

The Lexus F’s first race track was the site of Lexus F’s birth. The RC F Fuji Speedway Edition will only be 50 units, which is a little less than the 60 units in the 2021 model year. The new model year’s edition will only be available in the Electric Surge exterior color, which is now available in a satin finish. This is not the Arctic Blast Satin and Cloudburst Gray.

The 2022 RC F Fuji Speedway Edition, just like last year’s, adopts the weight savings from the Track Edition starting in 2020. It also features the Brembo carbon ceramic brakes, a titanium exhaust and “extensive usage of carbon fiber aerodynamics”. The special edition can still sprint at 60 miles an hour (97 km per hour) in 3.96 seconds.

The regular 2022 RC F, on the other hand, retains most of the traits of the previous model, except for the redesigned set 19-inch wheels. The Carbon Package is also back to help reduce the weight of the Lexus coupe, which is quite heavy.

The 2022 RC F range’s heart is the 5.0-liter naturally-aspirated V8. It produces up to 472 horsepower (351 kilowatts), and 395 pound feet (535 Newton-meters). An eight-speed Sport Direct Shift transmission sends power to the rear wheels with rev-matching via paddle shifters.

The pricing for the new Lexus RC F range 2022 Lexus was not disclosed, but the company stated that they will be available in dealerships by the end of this month.

The 2021 RC F is priced at $65,975 while the RC F Fuji Speedway Edition costs $97,200. The prices of both items do not include handling and destination fees.
