Loki Basecamp Icarus Truck Camper Looks Cozy In Interior Renderings

The production of the real-life camper shells is well underway.

Camping adventures don’t always require a huge motorhome or a fancy van. Canada-based Loki has expanded its range of camper shells for pickup trucks. When the Loki Basecamp Icarustopper was first announced, we talked about it in August 2021. We now have renderings and images of the interior as well as photos of the topper being produced.

You have to make the best of the space you have as a truck-based camper. Loki is right to credit for making the most of space. The top will provide everything you need. The sleeping area can accommodate a queen-sized mattress and includes provisions for a portable toilet, a shower, and a kitchenette. The kitchen also includes a small refrigerator and an induction stove. The right side of the sofa bench is covered by a pivoting table that can be attached to a rail system. This allows for small dining or work areas.

Talking about these features is one thing. We can get a glimpse of the whole thing in new renderings. In an area known as the mud room, the shower is located at the back of the camper. It is next to the sink. You can remove the shower and also find a table and a seat in this area. There is also an air compressor. Although the lounge area is spacious enough to allow for people to spread out, there is only enough space for one person to work in your kitchen.

600 amp-hours are stored in lithium batteries. 300 watts solar power on the roof juices up the battery. The package includes a 2,000-watt inverter. This is a good thing because the camper is packed with exterior lighting. It is a four-season rig with heating and air conditioning, as well as an insulated fiberglass structure.

The Basecamp Icarus can be fitted in pickup trucks with a 6-foot or 8-foot bed. The Basecamp Icarus is very expensive at $69,000. This does not include the truck. It still fits under Loki’s larger Basecamp Falcon which costs from $135,000. A recent Instagram photo indicates that Icarus production has begun, so models should be in stock soon.
