Austin Yellow Audi RS Q8 Owner Who Waited a Year to Take Delivery

It is finished in a special Audi Exclusive paint, and it has been tuned already.

Audi’s position in the Volkswagen Group hierarchy means that the RS Q8 cannot compete with the Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT or the Lamborghini Urus. This doesn’t mean Ingolstadt’s flagship SUV is less desirable. We’re told that the owner had to wait one year before taking delivery of the “1 of 1 Qatar Edition”.

The exclusive RS Q8 was ordered in a bright Austin Yellow color, a very expensive Audi Exclusive paint. It is complemented inside with a similar hue for contrast stitching. This upgrade is also available through the Audi Exclusive catalog. Audiography spent some time with this SUV in Doha. Qatar, and discovered that it offers many other additional features.

ABT Sportline has already provided an ECU tune to Audi Sport’s top-of-the-line SUV. The RS Q8 also has a custom Akrapovic exhaust that provides a distinctive sound you would expect from a supercar, rather than a heavy SUV.

The engine now produces 740 horsepower (551 Kilowatts) as well as 679 pound-feet (6920 Newton-meters), with the modifications in place. The Audi RS Q8 can reach speeds of 62 mph (100 km/h), in just three seconds, before reaching speeds of over 205 mph (335 km/h). Its performance and design are so impressive that even staunch anti-SUV supporters would be unable to resist it.

It’s not cheap to drive a RS Q8 of this high-spec, even though the US base price is $115,400. The Audi Exclusive paint adds $4,800, while the 23-inch wheels with a 5-Y-spoke design rotor will cost you an additional $3,250. Add the Black Optic Package (from $3,250) and ceramic brakes ($8,500) to this SUV and it’s a very expensive one. This is before you consider the Audi Exclusive interior upgrades.

The price is exorbitant, but let’s not forget that the mechanically related Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT starts at $182,150, while the Lamborghini Urus cost well over $200,000 before you add any options.
