It can travel at 60 miles an hour.
Are you fed up with the stress of city life? Are you looking for a vehicle that can take you everywhere? Although the name may seem a little odd, this luxurious tank might be just what you need to fulfill your getaway goals. You can purchase one of these tanks, the Howe & Howe Ripsaw EV3F4 – a high-end tank that doesn’t have a cannon. It is available for purchase at the Hemings Auction website.
Robust without Sacrificing Comfort
This tank is indeed a luxury tank. Howe & Howe is an expert in this area because they build military vehicles and offer products for individuals, such as the model that’s up for sale. The Ripsaw EV4F4 is not equipped with any weapons systems, despite being equipped with some tactical gear.
The tank has polyurethane tracks and 51 cm (20 inches) of ground clearance. It can face any terrain. The cabin is as robust as it looks from the outside. However, two Recaro front seats are heated and ventilated.
You’ll see a steering wheel that looks similar to the yoke found in the Tesla Model S Plaid. Garmin provided two 12-inch touchscreen displays for the Ripsaw. The screen displays driving information and another screen displays external cameras. You can use the Ripsaw at night because of its many cameras, which provide drivers with a 360-degree view, thermal views and even infrared.
A Mountain of Horsepower under the Hood
Although the name Ripsaw suggests that it has an electrical powertrain, this is not true. The Ripsaw’s engine is a 6.6-liter Duramax turbo diesel Duramax V8 that produces 800 horsepower (596 Kilowatts) and 1,500 pound feet (2,033 Newton meters) of torque. Because the Ripsaw weighs in at more than 4.5 tonnes, it requires all that power. This is twice the weight of a Land Rover Range Rover. It is one of the fastest tracked vehicles on the planet, according to Howe & Howe. The Ripsaw’s top speed is 60 miles an hour (97 km per hour), according to American company.
The current bid is $425,000 at the time of writing. There are still four days before the auction closes and the reserve has not been met. Before a new owner can be crowned, the price must rise.
