Ram 1500 Classic Rolls into 2022 with Several Minor Tweaks

A new Tradesman Off Road Package is now available

The fifth-generation Ram 1550 model that was introduced for 2019 was a major improvement on the previous-generation model. New styling and cutting-edge tech were all part of the truck’s redesign. Ram did not want to lose its cost-conscious customers, so it decided that it would continue to build the fourth-generation 1500 and call it the 1500 Classic. With a few updates, the model will be available for 2022.

Mopar Insiders took a look at the Ram dealer ordering guides, which show the Ram 1500 Classic coming back for the next model year. Tradesman Off-Road package has been updated to include several great features, including heavy-duty rear shock absorbers, tow hooks and skid plates for front suspension and transfer case. All-terrain tires are also included. The package is a combination the Warlock All-Terrain Package with the Warlock Protection Group.

These packages can be purchased alongside the Tradesman Express, Express, SLT and Warlock trims. All carry over to 2021. Ram’s 2022 offerings are unchanged. The pickup is available in Regular, Quad and Crew Cab body styles. There are three bed lengths available depending on which model, and you can choose from either a two- or four-wheel drive. The 2022 trucks may not have the power sunroof and the RamBox. These options aren’t available in the ordering guides.

Only one other change was made to the order guides for the Electronics Convenience Group. The package will now include the 8.4-inch Uconnect 5, an infotainment system from the brand. This system also includes Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay. The publication states that Uconnect 4C, with an 8.4-inch screen, is an option. The price of the 2021 Ram 1500 Classic is $28,855 including destination charges. There are no indications that it will be updated. The non-Classic 2021 Ram 1500 starts at $32,795.
