Ford has updated the Focus to reflect the Fiesta’s appearance. This update is for the European model year 2022. These updates can also be seen inside the cabin. We’ve covered many of the updates since its debut but the Focus has not yet revealed itself in the metal to public – at least, not until today.
The Ford Focus facelift was unveiled at the Zurich Car Show this year. The walkaround video embedded at the top of this page will show you how the changes look in the metal.
The changes to the refreshed Focus’ front fascia are prominently visible, particularly the numerous updates to the LED lighting. Ford has decided to forgo fog lights entirely, giving the compact car an elegant look. The updated Focus’ rear gets blacked out taillights.
The update for 202 also includes a new alloy wheel design and Mean Green paint from Fiesta ST. Both a hatchback and wagon version of the performance version are still available.
The Ford Focus’s 13.2-inch touchscreen is now available with over-the-air updates. The main operating system has been updated to Ford’s latest version of SYNC 4. Ford Performance seats are introduced in the Focus ST facelift.
Ford appears to have dropped the diesel engine option from the Focus ST lineup in terms of powertrain. The future fate of the oil-burner option is unknown. However, for now, the Focus ST lineup will continue to offer the performance version with a 280-horsepower turbocharged gasoline engine.
