2021 Dacia Duster Lives The Commercial Van Lifestyle In The UK

This is great news for small English-speaking businesses!

It’s easy for people to picture a pick-up truck or a large van when they mention the word “workhorse”. The answer is not a subcompact crossover. However, in Europe haulers are available in all shapes as well as sizes. These are the pocket-sized hatchbacks with tall tires.

Dacia has just released the latest subcompact crossover, which can be transformed into a load-lugger. The Duster Commercial is a small business-friendly crossover. What does the Duster Commercial do?

Dacia removed the back seats from this compact crossover in order to increase its cargo capacity. This crossover is only a two-seater. The Duster Commercial has a cargo volume of 57.3 cubic feet (1.623 liters), which 46.1 cubic feet (1.178 liters more than the standard model). The Duster’s cargo area behind the rear seats is 15.7 cubic feet (445 Liters).

The Duster Commercial’s utilitarian purpose aside, it is quite well-equipped inside. Even the Essential trim level is equipped with Bluetooth and USB connectivity, as well as cruise control and steering wheel-mounted audio controls. The Comfort model comes with an 8-inch touchscreen and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Each version comes standard with safety features like automatic emergency braking and stability control.

The Duster’s exterior is the same as the non-Commercial Duster. If you compare them side-by-side, it will be difficult to distinguish the differences. For the utilitarian model, the only thing that will distinguish them is the darker rear window tints and tailgate tints. The Duster Essential comes in both standard and commercial versions with steel rims, roofrails, unpainted trims and daytime running lamps. The Comfort model adds more color-keyed panels and alloy wheels as well as foglights.

The Duster Commercial is available with four engine options. The turbocharged, 1.0-liter three-cylinder makes 90 horsepower (67 Kilowatts) as well as 118 pound feet (160 Newton-meters). Next is the turbocharged 1.3-liter turbo. This turbo has four-cylinders, 130 horsepower (96 Kilowatts), and 177 poundfeet (220 Newton-meters).

The 1.3-liter turbo is also available in a slightly faster version. This turbodiesel produces 150 horsepower (110 Kilowatts) as well as 184 pound-feet (253 Newton-meters). A turbodiesel version of the 1.5-liter produces 115 horsepower (85 Kilowatts) as well as 191 pound-feet (260 Newton-meters) of torque. Most variants come with an optional all-wheel drive.
