A professional jury of designers crowned them.
The Bolide was unveiled by Bugatti in October 2020. It has a futuristic track car and a power ratio that is 0.67 kg/h. The Bolide was launched by in August at a price of $4.7 million per unit. The Bolide, a hypercar that is out of this world, has won an award from one of the most prestigious design competitions around the globe.
The 36th Festival Automobile International, Paris, saw the awarding of the Hypercars category to Bolide by a jury of design professionals. This was in addition to three other finalists. This category allows only cars that were produced in series and sold for over 60,000 euros to be eligible. They must also display outstanding performance and a sporty design.
The best thing about the track monster’s design is the fact that it will not change from its experimental version to its final production version. The Bolide will be almost identical to the one that won the design award if you spend $4.7million. Bugatti claims that the car will still be light and performs well despite all the optimizations necessary for production.
Nils Sajonz Design Head for Special Projects says that the Bolide, although functional, is full of Bugatti’s unique personality and tradition. It was inspired by Ettore Bugatti’s weight-to-power philosophy. He designed lightweight, agile cars like the Type 35 that were virtually unbeatable in motorsport. Bolide is the culmination of this philosophy. Its design and purpose are pure.
